For Landowners: Forest Management Group
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) Group Forest Management Certificate (NC-FM/COC-001881) TCNF administers an FSC®-certified group of family forest landowners throughout New England and New York. Under this arrangement forest landowners can inexpensively gain access to FSC® group certification. TCNF is the administrative body that holds the FSC certificate and has overall responsibility for compliance with the FSC® Northeast Regional Standard. The FSC® Standard is an internationally recognized framework of forest management that acknowledges a commitment to high environmental standards, social responsibility, and economic stability. Member landowners of the TCNF group develop and implement forest management plans guided by their own objectives and management philosophy. Members commit to using third party certified logging companies when harvesting forest products. The involvement of a third-party certified logger (Master Logger or SmartLogging certified) in the harvest of member properties will help provide a consistency of practice across all properties. Membership is open to any forest landowner in New England and New York. To learn how to certify your land.
